BROWN CAKE

Ingredients:

Flour : 500 gms.
Sugar : 500 gms.
Butter : 200 gms.
Eggs : 2
Sultanas :1/4 Cup
Currants : 1/4 cup
Ginger Powder : 1/4 Tsp.
Spice Powder : 1/4 Tsp.
Lemon Peel : 1/4 Tsp.
Cinnamon Pow. : 1/4 Tsp.
Milk : 1/4 Cup
Baking soda : 1 Tsp.
Caramel Syrup :1 Tbsp.
Rum : 2 Tbsp. Optional

Method:

Cream sugar and butter until smooth and fluffy.

Add eggs and mix.

Now fold in flour .

Mix all the dry powders.

In the batter add all the dry fruits and caramel syrup and rum.

Mix soda with warm milk and add to the batter.

Bake in moderate heat for 30 minutes.
