FILLED BUNS

Ingredients for the Bun:

Yeast : 1 Tbsp.
Warm water : 1 Tbsp.
Milk : 1/4 Cup
Salt : ½ Tsp.
Oil : 1/4 Cup
Flour : 1 ½ cups
Sugar : 3 Tbsp.
Egg : 1

Method:

Dissolve the yeast in warm water with ¼ teaspoon of sugar and ¼ teaspoon of flour.

Cover with a damp cloth and leave for 10 minutes to ferment.

Beat the egg, add the milk, sugar, oil and salt, mix with a wooden spoon till sugar is dissolved then add 1½ a cup of flour, mix well.

Add the yeast, knead well keep in an oiled bowl to prove (approximately 45 minutes).

When double in size take it out make into 10 balls. Roll out each ball then put in a teaspoon of the filling close it up. Leave aside to prove again.

Bake it at 200 C for 10 minutes. Brush with beaten egg white just before taking out.

Ingredients for Filling:

Minced meat or veg : 200 gms.
Green Pepper : 1
Minced onions : ½ cup
Ginger : ½ an inch
Garlic : 6 flakes
Paparica powder : 1 teaspoon
Pepper Powder : 1½ teaspoon
Flour : 1 teaspoon

Method:

Mince onions, capsicum and ginger.

Grind rest of the spices.

Heat 2 table spoons of oil fry the minced onion and capsicum then add the ground spices.

Add the boiled meat or veg. fry well and when it becomes thick add the flour stir well and remove.
